GT Warming-up NB

The warming up idea you will see here will be based on chromatic runs and patterns.
With these, you can build up strength and dexterity on your playing.
The idea is, that we go across all strings and frets, back and forward from the 1st up until the 12th fret and back.

From the chromatic runs, we change the finger setting, in a more comment shapes patterns, but we keep on playing them in the same way across all strings and frets.
Keep in mind to start slow and over time try to build some speed into them.

For this I use a chromatic run of 4 notes on each string, what I call the 1,2,3,4 shape starting on the Low E 1st fret to the High E.

This is the same idea but I use the 4,3,2,1 shape, the run stays the same starting on the low E 1st fret

Here I change the shape in 1,2,3, starting on the Low E 1st fret.

And the same idea but in reverse 3,2,1 starting on the Low E 1st fret.

Now I play the 1,2,3,4 shape again, starting on the Low E and A string on the 1st fret, shifting up to the 12th and back to the 1st.

The same again but in the 4,3,2,1 variation, starting on the Low E 1st fret.

For the 7th lick, we do the same again, but with the 1,2,3 shape.

Warming up NB 008

And in reverse the 3,2,1 shape, in sets of 2 strings across the neck.

Now I am going to change the order of finger settings, starting on a 1,2,4 shape.

Vertical Biggest
Warming up NB 010

The same but in reverse 4,2,1.

Vertical Biggest
Warming up NB 011

Same idea but in a shape like 1,3,4

And in reverse 4,3,1

Vertical Biggest

Now play again the 1,2,4 have but only on the 2 strings set combination.

Vertical Biggest
Warming up NB 014

The same as lick 13, but in reverse 4,2,1 in set of 2 strings, across the neck.

Lick 15 is the variation on that, in the shape of 1,3,4

And in the reverse 4,3,1 shape.

Now the interval between the notes will be bigger, search which finger settings works the best for you.
A good thing is to train it with both your 2nd and 3rd finger, for more dexterity.

And of course the same but in reverse.

The interval shape is the same, but now we use the 2 set of strings exercise.

The same again but played in reverse.

Still we use the same idea, but we only change to order of the fingers.

Vertical Biggest
Warming up NB 022

And another variation on that, exercise stays the same.

And another variation on that, exercise stays the same

This is where we combine both lick 22 and 23, in the 2 string set exercise.

Vertical Biggest
Warming up NB 025

The same but played in reverse, lick 23 first followed by 22

In this the idea is the same, only I play a bigger interval between the second and fourth finger.

And now the same, but the interval will be between the 1st and 3rd fingers.
